All I Have to Say is...

Today is a positively spectacular day in New York City. I feel like the luckiest girl alive to be able to call this place my home.

Happy Memorial Day to everyone and long live the long weekend!

Home, Home, Home

I've been home for the weekend to celebrate my sister's graduation from high school.

Class of 2008.

Mez my love, I couldn't be more proud and excited.

To all those hyper-active parents out there:
Take a note from my sis and listen up. She's NOT headed off to university this fall. Mez's going to travel the great earth for a year, visit her friends in Australia and work on a horse farm.

She DID in fact apply to college (and earned almost complete rides at two schools), but Mez is wise beyond her 17 years.

She knows she's not ready for four more years yet. She wants to see the world, chase those youthful-often-dismissed dreams, see what her life can be like before someone tells her what it has to be.

Tomorrow I'll watch her walk the stage at the Air Force Academy's massive theater. Then I'm back to NYC, back to work, back to reality, back to life.

I'm so excited for Mez to start hers.

So Here We Are

And what am I going home to?

Now Why Does This Look Familiar?

My fantastical best friend Meredith just sent me the following:

Spill It: David Rhoads
The Stanton Social's bartender talks unexpected sources of electrolytes, relocating for love (don't do it!) and shower cleaner.

Oh my, oh my.
Birthday memories, that’s what I have to say.

And um, also…
Kudos and a million thanks to David for returning my wallet to me. Drunk birthday girls should not be allowed out of the house without a bag chain!

Thoughts Today:

Danger, danger, danger.

We live in a dangerous world.

And I am walking a fine line.

The next few weeks will be interesting.

Delicious and Very Provocative

My birthday gift from Meggy!

It smells absolutely marvelous.
Now if only I could find a special man to wear it for...

Naturally, WaveDog

Guess who was with me at WaveDog on Wednesday night?

Yup.
Them.

Ok, ok, they weren’t exactly with me. It was more like I happened to be there visiting the ETA and they were there too.

Here’s what I’ll say: The paparazzi are crazy.
Crazy.
I would never wish that life upon anyone.

There must have been 20 photogs outside waiting for them. I don’t think they got any pics – I mean, if Perez Hilton doesn’t have them they probably didn’t get any. I think they sent Jen out the side door.

Again, like I said:
crazy.
